Schwob is looking for the twentieth-century must-read books most of us don’t know about: forgotten classics, cult books, insider books you don’t want to miss from around the world. We are searching for the Hungarian Vonnegut, the Scandinavian de Beauvoir, the Italian Salinger and the Polish Kerouac. That’s why we keep asking people all over Europe and further afield about their favorite books, the books that changed their way of looking at things. These are the books we recommend to publishers.

In this app you’ll find all the books we’ve come across so far. Click on a cover and you’ll get a sample translation and information on who to contact for the translation rights. The list is growing steadily and new books are added on a regular basis.
